I can’t believe it has been over 2 months since I posted anything. I have been extremely remiss in updating this blog. When I check how many people are reading this blog, my page views have dwindled to zero. I haven’t posted in part because my life changed drastically and I wasn’t sure how my blog in its original form fit my new life. I had been out of work for a while. Somewhere while I was job hunting, I was bitten by the travel bug. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and hadn’t seen much else. I looked up jobs to travel and found out that resorts in national parks across the country hired people and provided housing. I was immediately taken and fascinated with the idea of being able to work in a different part of the country. I decided to take a summer job in Bryce Canyon in southern Utah. Once, I moved to southern Utah, I was immediately working long hours, trying to see as much as possible on my days, off, hiking, dealing with altitude sickness, and the shock of the change I had made.

I had originally started this blog to write about my love of crafts, photography and my creative ventures. Once I started traveling, and working at Bryce Canyon, I wasn’t sure what to write about. Suddenly, I didn’t have much time to craft. I had figured out how to see a completely different part of the country. This new interest in travel became a new passion and added a new dimension to my life. However I didn’t know how to fit that into my existing blog. I contemplated starting a separate blog for my travels. Once I thought about it, I realized I didn’t want to stop this blog or divide my time between two blogs.
My job in Utah recently ended and I am back in Eastern Washington. I am not sure what I will be doing next. For now, I will be in once place. I would love to travel more. The past few months were amazing. I plan to write I series of posts reflecting on my travels in the southwest. For now, I have plenty of time to craft again.
